Rik's anger was justified at the right time but now he just wanted the Dane to relax after standing up in front of lots of people. It was always nerve wracking doing these sort of recitals and Billy just wanted to spend time with his Dane since it had been so long since he'd seen him. Too long.
"I missed you, mate. A lot. So fucking much it hurt."
There were times when he wanted to cuddle up next to Rik instead of using his pillow as a substitute. Of course it wasn't the same.
"My pillow turned into you for a while. But it lacked the hair."
