Background: Born to a rather well off family he had the option to follow whatever education he wanted. Rik picked up music early on. His parents pushing him to be a musician in an orchestra most of his life. He endured abuse, that he didn't recognize as abuse until he was a teen. It started as verbal but as a teen turned to physical abuse. He loved music but hated the pressure put on him to take it a way he didn't want to go. The love of the stage and performance pulled him toward rock music and as an early teen he picked up a guitar and never looked back. Rik travels around with Bønne constantly on his shoulder or with him when he is not on stage or out at a bar/restaurant. Bønne (Little Bean) is a seal point giant fancy rat.
